Ingredients

  • 1 cup polenta

  • 3 cups water

  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ½ cup pouring cream

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper


Method

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat.

  2. Gradually whisk in the polenta, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring continuously, until the polenta thickens.

  4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter and cream until smooth.

  5. Add the grated cheese, season with salt and pepper, and stir until fully melted and glossy.

  6. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
